Write an ISO to USB
Choose an ISO and removable drive. Write the image and verify the written bytes.
Choose an ISO
Open a local ISO or choose one from the catalog. Linux and Unix hybrid ISOs use a raw write. Windows installer ISOs use the FAT32 media process.
Bootable verifies a publisher checksum when available. A mismatch blocks writing.
Select the physical drive
Identify the drive by model, capacity, path, and serial suffix. Fixed, read-only, and system drives are not listed.
The selected drive will be erased. Confirm the physical drive before writing.
Write the ISO
- Choose the ISO and wait for inspection to finish.
- Select the removable USB drive.
- Review the write method, operations, and drive identity.
- Confirm erasure.
- Start the write and keep the drive connected through verification.
The write helper checks the drive identity and capacity again before writing.
Verify the write
Bootable hashes the image while writing. It reads back the written range and compares SHA-256. Unused space is not checked.
A match does not guarantee that the image will boot on every computer.
Cancellation
A cancelled write is marked incomplete. Rewrite the full image before using the drive.
